When i dared asking this unknown man (keeping walking at his side) if i may take his portrait since i loved his look with his cap & pipe, he laughed & blushed answering that if he could have known, he'd have worn his sailor cap ;)
I clicked at that very moment (i wanted the lighthouse in too ;), still walking side by side. Thanks Cap'tain !

Lorsque j'ai osé demander à cet inconnu (en arrivant à sa hauteur) si je pouvais le prendre en photo car j'adorais son look avec sa casquette & sa pipe, il a ri & rougi en me répondant que s'il avait su, il aurait mis son béret de marin ;)
J'ai déclenché à ce moment précis (je voulais le phare aussi ;), toujours en continuant à marcher côte à côte. Merci Cap'tain !

Ha! ... Just like me, us old gits in our dotage, love to have a some attractive personable Parisian girl come along, who chats, makes us feel comfortable and then compliments us by wanting to take a photograph of us ... The world is our oyster on occasions like that.

Cet anonyme, au profil de marin, sert parfaitement ton image. Le baroudeur des mers a désormais les pieds sur terre, "face à face" touchant avec le phare qui l'a guidé sur mer. Ah, la belle histoire, encore une, que tes images ne manquent pas de naître dans les imaginations.

Ah! Excellent portrait du Capitaine Haddock, le phare est tout mignon et quelle chance, il y a bien moins de touristes autour que celui de Ré et d'Oléron!:) J'ai fait un petit retour en arrrière pour voir tes dernières photos, j'ai bien apprécié et bravo pour ton spotlight couleur avec tes choupinettes en vedettes! :)

:) Faire piquer un "phare" à un marin, c'est très fort ! mais prouesse technique et prouesse émotionnelle vont toujours de pair dans ton travail photographique. Beau portrait de marin même sans son béret et J'aime cette image dépouillée qui va à l'essentiel… à ce contact que tu sais avoir avec les gens (crois moi ce n'est pas donné à tout le monde). Est-ce qu'il t'a invitée après à goûter le far Breton ? Plein de bises et bons vents pour ton w-e même sans les embruns de l'océan :)

You won't know who I am talking about, but this man really reminds me of a TV presenter called Jack Hargreaves. Back in the 70's he was the kind, knowledgeable and happy "Face" of rural crafts and lifestyle on the TV.

Shooting while walking?! That's refreshing k@! No wonder the image has the feel of a movie!:-))) He's quite a character through your lens... the grey beard, wholesome and weather-beaten face, ornamented with his stylish sunglasses, beautiful pipe and an old cap... and that juxtaposition with the lighthouse couldn't be more wonderful in telling his stories of adventurous sailing! The last but not the least, the light and colours are just amazingly beautiful! What more can I say... my salute to you and your Captain friend!:-)
