Amazing shot. Beautiful composition and work with the contrast. The escalator-design reminds me very much of a Rubik's Cube... i guess christmas shopping can be just as frustrating ;)

Oh ça, c'est le Bon Marché ! Et ta photo est REMARQUABLE ! J'aime ces très forts contrastes, tes blancs sont éblouissants... tu réunis esthétisme et graphisme sur une même image, sans compter ce chassé-croisé qui ajoute beaucoup de charme à ta photo... Vraiment une TRES BELLE image pour moi (je la verrais bien chez moi !) :-)

What a great shot! And your composition is perfect. I imagine if all these squares were shot form a different angle they wouldn`t be nearly as interesting. At first I felt almost dizzy, but as I kept looking at the image itturned into very calming in some way.

@Momo: Actually I didn't have to wait : there were people criss-crossing to buy their last gifts everytime ! ;o) I just had to choose which ones, I mean the better places over the escalators for the best (in my opinion) graphic effect, hopefully* Thanks for your com. !

Le grand X files de la consommation pour les survivants de la fièvre acheteuse des grands jours. Tout le monde y participe de gré ou de force à cette messe à la masse. En tout cas c'est une splendide photo, j'adore ces lignes graphiques qui se croisent pour notre plus grand plaisir visuel le tout baigné d'une lumière blanche faisant bien ressortir les zombies acheteurs de noir vêtus.
